Koala Conventions have been organizing a wide range of Embroidery & Textile workshops in Brisbane for over 12 years. Our events began in 2000 with just four tutors and twenty students. We hold large events with over 20 Professional Tutors and over three hundred attendees from all around Australia and a great many from overseas.
Our expert tutors, authors & designers bring a wealth of experience to our events, and we feel very fortunate to be able to work with them. Not only are they true specialists in their chosen field, they are a great bunch of people too! They play a huge part in creating the atmosphere of fun and laughter that our events have become famous for.
We work hard to maintain this atmosphere and level of customer service, which is why so many of our customers return the following year. Our tutors teach a wide range of embroidery & textile techniques, and other needle arts such as beading, felting, appliqué, creative knitting and crochet. For even more variety we often have workshops in creative fabric dyeing and silk painting.
